Shangri-la Mustangs

Aieta is an extremely unique mustang . Her dominant characteristics is that of a Belgian draft horse with the exception that Aieta is gaited. In motion, she is glides prancing across the pasture. However, unique to the draft breed, she calm and gentle.

Aieta means worker. Her name suites her well with her flaxen mane, and she is the favorite of our vet because of it. Born in the spring of 2002, At 2 3/4 years old, she is 13 hands and 1000 lbs. She will be a big girl.

Of our mustangs, Aieta by far was the tamest, which is characteristic of draft horse -- gentle, even tempered.

Aieta loves to be worked with and will be easily finished.

Aieta is a natural at posing. She frequently stands, streched out as though she were being judged. Aieta is show off.

Aieta carries herself with great pride and would be beautiful in a show or parade.

We let her out of the pasture without a halter. She'll runs and jumps into our trailer. Then without issue, we can put her halter on. Aieta saddles, and ties too. She just needs finishing, which should be a breeze.
