When Trish saw Wasatch, she thought of Black Beauty,
and Jim had to have her. Initially, she
was extremely wild. You could see it in her eyes, and when we came near her,
she'd imediately change her posture. Now, you'd never know she was from the
wild. She loves to be groomed and will even lift her legs to assist in being
groomed on her lower legs. Plus, she points to the area's that need scratched.

When Wasatch was ready to accept us as her
friend, it happened overnight. One minute she stood back. The next
she was having us scratch her back. When she greets us, it's usually
back-side first. Wasatch has never shown any aggression toward us,
even with her baby. In the above picture, she is just determined
to be touched by us. All the rest of the herd makes way for her.

Wasatch means Beautiful Mountains. She
is a stunning site to be seen.

To our surprise, Wasatch was pregnant
with Winona, who is also pure Mustang. She makes a great mother,
and doesn't mind the rest of the herd helping out.
